Green Agritainment

VET strategies for Edutainment in European Agritourism

R1 – Model of Competences of Green Agritainment

Based on a desk and on-field research measuring the exact training gaps in agritainment of agritourism businesses (n = 120). The Model of competences will be defined according to GreenComp model and the design of a validated micro-credentials and its learning outcomes. The model will be moreover complemented by an Atlas of Green Agritainment activities (100 VET training practices to stimulate Green Agritainment Skills which can be adopted by VET trainers). This result – based on achieving the GO1 – is related with Priority 1 (P1 – Fight to climate change) considering its component of adopting entertainment for environmental educational marketing in agritourism. The Atlas contributes to P2 (flexibility of VET centers) being a modular handbook completely adaptable by VET centers and trainers on the basis of their specific needs. The inclusion of a new model to be validate with a newly created micro-credentials we will contribute to P3 (Innovation in VET)

R2. Digital Course in Green Agritainment

The definition of the GreenComp model of competences, micro-credentials, and replicable practices by VET trainers in the Atlas will enable partners to design a digital course in Green Agritainment. The course will target VET students and agritourism operators, who will learn how to implement green edutainment activities in agritourism. This 360-minute training course will be developed for GO2 and will enhance competences in Green Agritainment, ensuring accessibility in remote and rural areas. The course will contribute to innovation in VET (P3) through the adoption of the micro-credential model, as well as to environmental awareness and the fight against climate change (P1), and to VET flexibility (P2), thanks to its format, which can be used as a standalone product or combined with face-to-face lessons.

R3. Impact measurement tool

A flexible psychometrics test designed to produce a measurement of pro-environmental impacts of the agritainment activities in terms of increased pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors and increased
sustainable food literacy in visitors. This tool will be tested in a sample of 100 visitors in agritainment activities in order to validate its effectiveness of the Agritainment methodology. This tool will complement VET training methodologies produced and support all VET learners wanting to have a standard feedback and contribute to GO3 and contribute to the 3 priorities mentioned.
