From live webinar to open video course: “Designing Edutainment for Green Agritourism” now available in six lessons

On 15 July 2026 the Green Agritainment consortium hosted the international webinar “Designing Edutainment for Green Agritourism – Training Tools for VET Trainers”, bringing together VET trainers, agritourism operators and educators from across Europe. The response was so positive that the partnership decided to give the event a second life: the full webinar has now been converted into a free six-lesson video course, openly available on YouTube.

Why turn a webinar into a course?

A live event reaches the people who can attend on the day. A video course keeps reaching people long after the event is over. By splitting the webinar recording into six focused lessons of around ten minutes each, the consortium has created a training resource that trainers and operators can watch at their own pace, reuse in the classroom, and share with colleagues. Each lesson corresponds to one speaker intervention, opening with the lesson number and title.

The six lessons

• Lesson 1 – Presentation of the project and the Italian model
• Lesson 2 – The behavioural impact of edutainment and why it is more effective than “classic” models
• Lesson 3 – Learning from farmers that do inclusive agritainment
• Lesson 4 – Green Agritainment Practice #1 and Practice #2
• Lesson 5 – Oyster farmer: an immersive visitor experience
• Lesson 6 – Guest CyHerbia: agritainment activities at a local botanical garden

What you will learn

The lessons move from theory to practice. They explain what edutainment is and why experience-based learning changes behaviour more effectively than traditional lecturing, then show real farmers and operators at work: inclusive agritainment on working farms, immersive visits to an oyster farm, and educational activities in a botanical garden. Two Green Agritainment practices from the project’s Atlas are demonstrated step by step, so trainers can replicate them directly.

Participants of the live webinar received a certificate of participation, and the same content is now open to everyone. The video lessons complement the project’s other free resources: the Green Agritainment Handbook and competence model and the free digital course in Green Agritainment.
